Two people arrested for DUI after crashing into Wichita police unit

Two people were arrested for DUI after a crash Wednesday morning.

A Wichita officer was conducting a DUI stop at West and University, around 2 a.m., when his car was hit from behind. It appears that the officer and initial DUI suspect were out of their cars and were not hurt. No serious injuries were reported to the second driver. Damage to the police car was significant enough that it had to be towed away

Both drivers ended up going to jail on DUI charges.

Wichita police are using this as one example why itโ€™s vital to have a plan to get home safely if you will be drinking
