Recorded by a carnival guest, the video clearly shows the tower drop style ride plummeted towards the ground at high speeds. Free falling from a height of more than 50 feet before slamming into it’s steel base. The malfunction at the Phase 8 amusement park in Punjab’s Mohali district resulted in numerous people being hospitalized.
The horrible incident was caught on video by an amusement park guest at precisely the moment it came crashing to the ground from a staggering height of over 50 feet. In the video you can clearly see the bodies of the people on the ride violently thrown around.
Fifty riders were on the “drop tower,” a carousel-like ride that sends passengers hurtling down a vertical structure towards the ground at high speeds.
Sixteen people were injured after the carnival ride plummeted 50 feet to the ground due to a freak malfunction.
The terrifying accident occurred on September 4th, 2022 at the Phase 8 amusement park in Punjab’s Mohali district in India.
